    What We Do

    707th Force Support Squadron (707 FSS) Overview

    The 707 FSS oversees force management, sustainment, development, and support to commanders and Airmen assigned to Ft. Meade. Directly sustaining over 6,000 Airmen, the squadron is the central hub for manpower, personnel, force development, services, Airman and family readiness, and transportation.

    To execute this mission, the 707 FSS is organized into specialized functional flights:

    1. Sustainment Services Flight (FSV) Focuses on the immediate physical needs, health, and morale of the base populace.

    • 707 FSS Operations: Manages the base dining facility to ensure nutritional readiness and operates the sports and fitness center to maintain physical standards.

    2. Force Development Flight (FSD) Focuses on the education, training, and professional growth of Airmen.

    • 707 FSS Operations: Manages the National Testing Center for continuing education and operates the Airman Leadership School (ALS) to develop the next generation of non-commissioned officers.

    3. Manpower and Organization Flight (FSM) Acts as the strategic resource management arm.

    • 707 FSS Operations: Manages manpower requirements, organizational structures, and civilian personnel execution to support the unit’s wide-reaching footprint.

    4. Military Personnel Flight (FSP) Acts as the core administrative and HR section for the installation.

    • 707 FSS Operations: Provides direct personnel support for the 6,000+ assigned Airmen, handling everything from official records and promotions to assignments and DEERS/ID cards.

    5. Military & Family Readiness Flight (FSH) Provides essential life, career, and deployment support services.

    • 707 FSS Operations: Delivers comprehensive Airman and family readiness programs, including financial counseling, deployment support, and transition assistance.

    6. Transportation Flight (FST) Ensures logistical mobility and operational support for squadron programs and base personnel.

    • 707 FSS Operations: Manages and maintains a 17-vehicle fleet to support transportation requirements across the installation and the broader region.
